Matthew Ford handles defense work across a variety of practice areas. However, he began his career as a plaintiff attorney. This experience has given him special insight into how those he goes up against prosecute their cases; insight he uses to create winning strategies for his clients. Matthew is known as fair and reasonable, someone who can be relied on to quickly evaluate a case, provide a path forward, and follow through on the strategy he’s devised. “I’m going to find a way to get things done,” he says. “If both sides can’t find something they agree on, we’ll pick a jury and go from there.” He's tough, to say the least.
After graduating from Arizona Summit School of Law, Matthew litigated personal injury cases for three years before opening his own firm, working commercial real estate and securities cases. A short time later, he was asked to join Liberty Mutual as a staff counsel, where he handled multiple depositions, mediations, and trials from month to month. As a member of Sargent Law, much of his practice is focused on litigating 18-wheeler cases. Matthew lives in Dallas with his wife and two young children.
