Before he joined Sargent Law, Matthew Harper received his degree in electrical engineering and started his career in law on matters related to patent litigation. This experience has given him a deep understanding of the physics and other contributing factors to the accidents his work centers around today. His technical knowledge allows him to work closely with accident reconstructionists and biomechanical experts to determine exactly how an accident happened and who’s liable.

Detail-oriented and able to break down complex subjects so that they’re easier to understand, Matthew is experienced in each stage of litigation, from discovery and depositions to hearings and trial. Those who have worked alongside him consider Matthew an asset who’s always willing to lend a helping hand. A former college football captain who understands the qualities inherent in strong leaders, he’s become a go-to resource for other attorneys in need of advice and input.

Matthew received his law degree from University of Dayton School of Law. A Texas native, he enjoys camping, sports, and spending time with his family and dog.
